I headed out to Calgary just before the legendary floods to witness a lovely little wedding. After working with this couple for their engagement session a couple of years ago, I was really excited to be a part of their lives again for their wedding. Katelyn is one of those people with an infectious sense of joy – it’s no wonder Clay fell for her. Their backyard wedding was a little derailed by the weather – the only time it really rained during that day was smack in the middle of their ceremony – but everyone was really amazing about it and cramming everyone into a tent for the ring exchange was actually a lot of fun! The best part of the day for me, though, was actually eating at the incredible Farm restaurant in Calgary, where everything from appetizers to dessert was quite honestly the best thing I had ever eaten in my life – one of the great perks of being a wedding photographer is that sometimes you get to eat incredible meals on the job! The manager at Farm assured me that they only close the restaurant for events like this very infrequently – for their best clients.  I stayed up really late listening to some of their hilarious guests tell stories about their lives, and it was a wonderful evening. The other thing I love about my job? I meet some of the coolest people weekend after weekend all year long. Enjoy this little glimpse into an amazing love story…
