Every once and awhile as a photographer, you get a phone call that just makes your day, and getting that call from the guys at Reza Records was one of those days. In my second run at taking awesome photos at a graffiti wall, I got to work with some amazing hip-hop artists from Reza Records. Make sure to follow them on Facebook if you like hip hop! It’s not every day I’m texting with a client who says, “The area is pretty grimey. It’s perfect.” I also had fun saying a few things myself, like, “So do you want some photos by the pyramid with teeth?” and such. I had a ton of fun working with these guys, each with their own distinct personality and style – and I feel like this is some of my best portrait work yet as a result of really gelling with the guys and enjoying the heat of the blistering mid-day sun.
